Your Coating Stopped Beading: Here's What To Do

Water no longer rolling off in tight beads? Your coating isn't necessarily dead — it might just be contaminated.

Beading vs Sheeting

Fresh coatings bead high and tight. As they accumulate iron particles, road grime and water spots, the surface tension changes and water starts flattening out. The coating is still there — it's just dirty.

Step 1: Decon Wash

A proper iron remover + clay treatment pulls bonded contaminants off the coating's surface. About 70% of 'dead' coatings come back to life right here, no reapplication needed.

Step 2: Coating Booster / Topper

If decon doesn't restore beading, a Si02 spray topper bonds to the existing coating and refreshes the hydrophobic layer for another 612 months. Way cheaper than a full reapplication.

Step 3: When It's Truly Done

Visible scratching, fading on horizontal panels, or hydrophobics that won't come back after a topper — time for a fresh prep, polish and reapply. We'll inspect and tell you which stage you're at.
